Home and Community-Based Services Waivers

Several special programs called home and community-based services waivers are available under Ohio’s Medicaid to help a limited number of eligible people receive care at home instead of in a facility.

The Ohio Department of Aging administers the PASSPORT Waiver and the Choices Waiver.  See our Agency Programs section for information about PASSPORT, or call the Medicaid Consumer Hotline at 1-800-324-8680 for more information about other waivers.
