Hunting and Fishing Licenses

You may be eligible for a free or reduced cost hunting or fishing license.

Hunting Licenses

Ohio residents born on or before 12/31/1937, holders of veteran’s license plates displaying the international wheelchair symbol, and certain permanently disabled veterans may apply for a free hunting license, fur taker permit, deer permit, spring turkey permit and wetlands habitat stamp.  Ohio residents 66 and older, and born after 1937, receive a 50% discount.  Former prisoners of war may apply for a free hunting license, fur taker permit, and wetlands habitat stamp.

Fishing Licenses

Persons born on or before 12/31/1937, persons who are physically disabled and require the assistance of another person to fish, residents of state and county institutions, holders of veteran’s license plates displaying the international wheelchair symbol, certain permanently disabled veterans, and former prisoners of war are eligible for a free fishing license.  Ohio residents 66 and older, and born after 1937, receive a 50% discount.
