Don't know where to start?

You may access information on this website or contact our Information & Assistance Staff.

  • I’m 60+ and having difficulty with tasks that were easily done before.

  • Many options are available to seniors and their caregivers, depending on individual circumstances.  See Agency Programs for information about our home care programs.  For detailed information about the full range of senior services available in each of our nine counties, go to Find Senior Services.
Contact our Information & Assistance Staff for information over the phone or in your home about services in your community.

  • I’m considering a nursing home.

  • If you or a loved one is considering admission to a nursing facility, contact our Information & Assistance Staff. A nurse or social worker will visit you at home to assess your needs and discuss other options that may allow you to remain at home.   If you choose to proceed with nursing home placement, we can complete the preadmission screening required in Ohio.

  • I’m a caregiver who needs some help.

  • The Area Agency on Aging provides guidance, support, and respite services to those who care for an elderly person at home.  If it is information only that you seek, we can mail written resources on a variety of topics.  You may also request an assessment at your home to determine if your loved one qualifies for in-home assistance.  See our Caregiving section for more information.

  • I’m worried about changes in a senior.

  • Have you noticed changes in a senior and are wondering about services in your community?  There are many programs, services, and organizations that offer help for seniors, but you don’t have to research and contact each one separately. Instead, contact our Information & Assistance Staff by phone or e-mail to get the answers you need for seniors and senior care.  We can even have a nurse or social worker visit them at home to discuss needs and options.
